Kasdorf Wants To Win A Championship

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute hockey fans received some good news this week with the announcement that Jason Kasdorf would be returning to tend the pipes for his senior year. Kasdorf has stated multiple times that he would like to stay and win a championship with the RPI Engineers next season. Desautels Graduating To University Hockey

After spending two seasons with the West Kelowna Warriors, a young hockey player will be returning home as a goaltender for the University of Regina Cougars. Andy Desautels, jersey number 30, is sad to leave his team in West Kelowna but is looking forward to being closer to home. Attending the University of Regina means Desautels will have the opportunity to see family and friends in White City, Saskatchewan more often. "It will be awesome to have my family and friends around again after being away from home since I was 16," said Desautels. "I would like to thank my teammates, coaches, volunteers, and the fans in West Kelowna for two of the best seasons of my life." Head Coach Rylan Ferster took the time to thank Desautels for his dedication to the Warriors over the last two seasons. "Andy is a great person and a great goalie. We are very excited for him that he is able to further his hockey career and studies." Curtis Meger GDI GoaltendingMeger Brings Home A Bronze Medal

It may not be the exact colour he wanted but Curtis Meger is bringing home a medal to Saskatchewan after winning Bronze at the Telus Cup. The Regina Pat Canadians were able to defeat the Strathmore Bisons by a score of 6-3 to take home the bronze medal. Meger turned aside 28 shots in order to secure the win. Meger has trained with GDI for a few years by traveling to Winnipeg for 1v1 lessons. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ In The Crease

GDI and The Rink will be joining forces with Kid Sport Winnipeg and Mark Scheifele this summer. From June 20th to the 21st GDI and The Rink will be instructing during the 1st annual Mark Scheifele Hockey Camp. The 1st annual Mark Scheifele Hockey Camp in support of KidSport Winnipeg is a two day camp aimed at helping the next generation of hockey players grow their skills and elevate their game.
