In the race to make it to the Western Canadian Bantam Championships all four city AAA teams have been caught in tight battles for their first round playoffs of the Playoffs. The Winnipeg Warriors have climbed their way back to take down the Sharks for two straight wins and have now made it a series as the teams sit dead locked at 2-2. In the first two games goaltender Nicholas Holben shut the door against the Green and Red as he only let one get past him each game. Games 3 and 4 Tyler Brown went to town and pushed aside several key scoring chances that the Sharks had and found a way to grab two back-to-back 'W's  to tie up the series. Game 5 of the best of 7 series goes Wednesday and should be a doozy! The reigning league champions the Winnipeg Hawks have found a way to hold on to their hopes of continuing to defend the title with a recent win over the Monarchs in Game 4 of their series. After losing 3 straight the Hawk netminder Troy Martyniuk took it upon himself to steal a game for his team. Marty refused to throw in the towel and pushed aside all the shots he faced to grab a 1-0 shutout to keep the Hawks in the series. Looking to help the Hawks claw their way back Martyniuk will be in between the pipes for Game 5.
