Brady Gordon of the Southwest Cougars is this week’s Chicken Chef / DEKALB Manitoba AAA Midget Player of the Week! In two starts this weekend, Gordon came up with two crucial wins for the Cougars. On Saturday, Gordon made 37 saves on 38 shots against the Central Plains Capitals, giving the Cougars a much needed two points. Gordon followed that up with an identical performance on Sunday against the Interlake Lightning, stopping 22 of 23 shots. The Cougars currently sit 8th in league standings and Gordon’s efforts over the weekend helped the Cougars keep pace in the increasingly tight playoff race. The first-year Killarney native has accumulated a 9-5 record this season and has now won his last three starts.
