  • At home in Spokane the Chiefs squeezed out a 4-3 win against the Brandon Wheat Kings. Yet again, GDI goaltenders went head to head in battle with Luke Lee-Knight coming out on top receiving the Win against Wheat King Corbin Boes who was left with the loss.
  • Laurent Brossoit was steller in net as he helped the Edmonton Oil Kings to a 6-1 victory over the Kootney Ice. This was Brossoit's 6th win within his 9 starts this year.
  • Swift Current's Jon Groenheyde stopped 27 of 31 shots for the Broncos as they beat the Prince George Cougars 5-4. The 6'4" Western League veteran moves to 2-1-0 to start the year as the Broncos look to climb up the charts to enter the middle of the pack in the Eastern Conference.
