The SJHL awarded 1992 born goaltender Myles Hovdebo the goaltender of the week. The Swift Current born netminder won both of his starts, registering a 1.40-GAA and a .950 Save Percentage in the process. Myles has been a poster boy for GDI Prairies as he has grown up training at summer goaltending school from the day he stepped on the ice. As a goaltender that has the mindset to never settle, Myles continues to achieve new heights each year. For Myles giving up is not an option as he continues to "believe" that he can always achieve success. Proving his worth, last season he had helped the Ice Wolves to Game 7 of the Anavet Cup. Look for this young goaltender to top the charts more this season, it will happen! Runner up for the award was GDI's Kale Thomson - Yorkton Terriers.
