Last season was a true test of character for GDI goalie Jason Kasdorf. Kasdorf had to undergo season ending shoulder surgery just a week into last season and missed the entire season. "It was tough last year, knowing I couldn't contribute on the ice," Kasdorf said outside the RPI locker room. "There is only so much you can do to help off the ice." "As a freshman, Kasdorf, who is from Winnipeg, did a lot. He had a 14-5-2 record with three shutouts, a 1.39 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage. He helped RPI finish second in the ECAC standings. Then, after two games last season, he hurt his right shoulder in practice, and he was done for the year."
