Make sure you stay sharp this season by attending 1v1 lessons. The month of March is starting to fill up for 1v1 sessions at the centre. We are now open from 3:30PM-9:30PM during the week, 10:00AM-3:00PM Saturday and Sunday To make sure you secure your spots throughout March we suggest signing up for your 1v1 sessions well in advance! GDI Off-Season Programs

The hockey season is starting to wind down, It's time to start planning your off-season training. GDI offers a wide variety of off-season programs including the Total GDI Academy and GDI Summer Camps.

Spring Programs:

GDI is offering two separate springs programs this year.

AcademySpring Academy:

Off-Season Total GDI Academy:

With a goaltenders performance on the ice being the main area critiqued and evaluated across Western Canada, GDI Goaltending has created a goaltending academy that incorporates all on-ice aspects that will take the aspiring athlete to new heights. Covering all 4 developmental domains within the position, Physiological, Psychological, Technical, and Equipment, GDI provides each goaltender with the resources they need in order to advance as the season approaches. Through this academy goaltenders will be able to advance their potential, year by year, through each level of the program eventually leading them into the pro ranks. For more information Click Here

Ryan Cyr GDI Goaltending Mike Keane ClassicGDI & The Rink Participate In The Mike Keane Celebrity Hockey Classic

This past week GDI and The Rink staff members participated in the Mike Keane Celebrity Hockey Classic. The Mike Keane Celebrity Hockey Classic is a charity hockey tournament to raise funds for Manitoba charities in partnership with Continuity Care and the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation. As an added bonus, each team entered into the tournament had a former NHL superstar added to their roster. This year's tournament featured former NHL superstars like Doug Gilmour, Joe Nieuwendyk, Ray Bourque, Paul Coffey and many more. Brown Stars Against The Rebels

Tyler Brown was a star Saturday when the Regina Pats hosted the Red Deer Rebels. Tyler Brown turned aside 23 of the 24 shots sent his way by the Rebels. Brown and the Pats took the game by a score of 4-1. Brown was also named the game's third star for his efforts. So far this season Brown has posted a record of 4 wins and 4 losses with a GAA of 2.88 and Sv% of .905. Deery Named MJHL's Top Goaltender

The MJHL recently announced the award winners for the yearly league awards. Nick Deery of the Steinbach Pistons was named the MJHL's Top Goaltender. Deery also found his name on the MJHL's First All-Star team. So far this season Deery has posted outstanding numbers for the Pistons with a record of 29-14-0 to go along with a GAA of 2.31 and a Sv% of .918. Deery has also shutout the opposition 5 times this season. Dola Named To MJHL Rookie All-Star Team

The MJHL also announced the All-Star teams this week. Hayden Dola of the Selkirk Steelers found his name on the MJHL Rookie All-Star team. So far this season Dola has appeared in 31 games with a record of 13-15-0 with a GAA of 3.47 and Sv% of .899. Dola has also posted 2 shutouts this season. Mario Petit GDI Goaltending Steinbach PistonsPetit & Henry Go Head To Head

GDI Goalies Mario Petit and Alex Henry clashed in a goaltender's duel Wednesday night. By the end of the night Petit and Steinbach Pistons emerged with the victory 2-1 over Alex Henry and the Neepawa Natives. Petit made 22 saves in the victory. Henry was much busier turning in a solid performance making 43 saves in the loss. Playoff Preparation Continues

GDI was busy again this week helping goalies prepare for their playoff runs. This week the AA Railcats and APHA goalies all visited GDI at The Rink to run through their weekly GDI clinics. GDI also joined The Rink on Monday for an in-service day to run a playoff prep camp during the day. GDI wishes all these goalies the best of luck as their seasons wrap up and they make the push for playoffs. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Question of the Week
