Make sure you stay sharp this season by attending 1v1 lessons. The month of March is starting to fill up for 1v1 sessions at the centre. We are now open from 3:30PM-9:30PM during the week, 10:00AM-3:00PM Saturday and Sunday To make sure you secure your spots throughout March we suggest signing up for your 1v1 sessions well in advance! GDI Off-Season Programs

The hockey season is starting to wind down, It's time to start planning your off-season training. GDI offers a wide variety of off-season programs.

Spring Programs:

GDI is offering three separate springs programs this year.

Spring Academy:

Summer Camps:

These are the anchor to the goaltender’s off-season development needs. These 4 or 5 day camps provide the biggest impact on goaltender performance in a short period of time. Our camps are very intense and goaltenders will conduct on-ice sessions, fitness testing, flexibility and hand eye training, classroom sessions, daily journals, off-ice dryland, comprehensive evaluation reports and much more.These spots fill up well in advance, don't miss your opportunity to train with GDI. Mowat Blanks Minnesota To Advance To WCHA Championship Game

Brittni Mowat continued her strong season this weekend during the WCHA playoffs. Mowat and the Bemidji State University Beavers upset the #2 ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers to advance to the chamipionship game. Mowat was spectacular making 37 saves for the 1-0 win over the Gophers. The shutout was Mowat's 7th of the season. Jason Kasdorf GDI GoaltendingKasdorf Stumps Clarkson

Jason Kasdorf was busy in his opening game of the ECAC playoffs. Kasdorf and the RPI Engineers outlasted Clarkson to take game 1 of the series with a score of 3-2. Kasdorf made a ton of key saves in the game as he turned aside 36 of the 38 shots fired on net. To Read More Click Here The third and deciding game of the series was played Sunday night. Kasdorf was only beaten once as RPI beat Clarkson 3-1. Kasdorf made 33 saves in the series clincher including making 15 saves in the third period. Hughson Blanks Giants

Garret Hughson carried his strong play from last week into a Tuesday night matchup with the Vancouver Giants. Hughson was perfect on the night stopping every shot sent his way as the Chiefs blanked the Giants 7-0. Hughson turned aside 29 shots for his second shutout of the season. Hughson has travelled to Winnipeg to work through 1v1 lessons. GDI President Ryan Cyr is also the goaltending coach for the Spokane Chiefs. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Junior A News    

Deery Named MGEU February MJHL Goalie of the Month

Goaltender Nick Deery of the Steinbach Pistons, who was a runner-up for this award in January, took his game to another level in February, reflected in a heady 6-2 record, highlited by a pair of shutouts. Deery, 20, posted an outstanding 1.50 GAA and .952 save percentage. In turn Nick Deery was awarded the Goaltender of the Month Award for February, and in addition recently recieved the Goaltender of the Year Award and was placed on the 1st All-Star Team for the league. Runner up for the award is 20 year old league veteran Brian Archibald. For the month of February he held a record of 4-1 for the Winnipeg Blues and brought his GAA to 2.7 and Save Percentage to .906. Deery has been training with GDI for over 2 years through 1v1 lessons and the Total GDI Academy. GDI Instructor Dan Ferguson is also the goaltending coach for the Steinbach Pistons. Archibald has trained with GDI for the past 5 years through 1v1 lessons and the Total GDI Academy. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Jeremy Link found out first hand what it's like to be in a marathon hockey game. Link and the Winnipeg Thrashers visited the Parkland Rangers for game 2 of their first round series. The game was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation and there wouldn't be another goal scored in the game for almost 63 minutes of game play. Link was outstanding in the game making an incredible 71 saves for the 3-2 win. Link and the Thrashers wrapped up the series on Saturday to advance to the semi finals.
