Tyler Brown Pats GDI GoaltendingRegina Pats Enjoying Wealth Of Goaltenders

Tyler Brown doesn't feel like the same wide-eyed rookie who joined the Regina Pats a little over five months ago. The 17-year-old netminder is a more confident version of his former self - a transformation which gives the WHL club a legitimate option behind veteran starter Daniel Wapple. "I agree," said head coach John Paddock. "There should be some progression naturally but I think he is really showing us something. He has everyone's attention." For Brown, it's mission accomplished. "All you have to do is take advantage of the opportunity, play your best and show what you can do," offered Brown, who was encouraged by his 27-save effort Tuesday in a 4-1 loss to the top-ranked Brandon Wheat Kings. "I feel pretty confident. I feel a lot more composed (than earlier this season). Brandon is a tough team and that's really the test I wanted. It shows I can actually play."
