Chris Driedger Preparing For Second Pro Season
Chris Driedger has been at The Rink multiple times a week training through 1v1 lessons with GDI President Ryan Cyr. Driedger completed his first season of pro hockey this past year and it's safe to say it was a bit of a whirlwind.
Driedger appeared in games with 3 different teams in 3 different leagues last season. He spent the majority of his time in the East Coast Hockey League where he appeared in 40 games for the Evansville Icemen. Driedger also spent time with the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.
Driedger's season highlight came back on March 25th when he made his NHL debut. Driedger had been with the NHL's Ottawa Senators backing up a depleted goalie roster but in a game against the New York Rangers he finally got the chance to step on the ice.
With the Rangers scoring their fifth goal, Driedger was sent in between the pipes for the final 23 minutes. Driedger didn't allow a single shot past him making 10 saves to finish off the game.
That experience will prove to be valuable as Driedger will look to further his pro hockey career next season.
Driedger has been training with GDI for over 6 years through GDI Summer Camps and 1v1 lessons.
