Make sure you stay sharp as the new hockey season gets underway. The month of October is starting to fill up for 1v1 sessions at the centre.
We are open from 3:30pm-9:30pm during the week and 10:00am-3:00pm Saturday and Sunday.
To make sure you secure your spots throughout October, we suggest signing up for your 1v1 sessions well in advance!
Total GDI In-Season Academy
The In-Season Total GDI Goaltending Academy is designed to support the competitive athlete. With hectic team practice and game schedules in mind, the Academy gives goaltenders the opportunity to train before school hours to help their time management and create a positive environment to succeed at both education and hockey development.

Verhelst Spoils American's Home Opener
It took an extra 7 seconds of overtime but Tyson Verhelst and the Spokane Chiefs were able to spoil the home opener for the rival Tri-City Americans.
Verhelst was solid for the Chiefs making 31 saves for the 4-3 win including 14 in the third period. Verhelst and the Chiefs were also perfect on the penalty kill, killing off all 6 of the Americans' power plays.
Verhelst has been training with GDI for over 4 years through 1v1 lessons and the Total GDI Academy.
Flodell A Star
Logan Flodell was named the game's second star in a game where the Seattle Thunderbirds defeated the Prince George Cougars.
Floodel turned aside 27 of the 28 shots the Cougars fired at him including stopping all 11 in the third period.
Flodell has trained with GDI for many years through GDI Summer Camps and travelling to Winnipeg for 1v1 lessons.______________________________________________________________________________________
Parsons Off To Strong Start
Scott Parsons continued his strong play into a Friday night matchup with the Swan Valley Stampeders.
Parsons and the Winnipeg Blues were able to defeat the Stampeders by a score of 3-1. Parsons was solid turning aside 19 of 20 shots as well as helping kill off every Swan Valley power play.
Parsons has been training with GDI for many years through 1v1 lessons and GDI Summer Camps.
GDI Pre-Season Power Hours
The GDI Pre-Season Power Hours continued this week at The Rink Training Centre.
The goalies have been coming to GDI every Wednesday to stay sharp for the upcoming season.
GDI would like to wish all of the goalies that attended the best of luck in their new seasons.

Brett is the Development Coordinator at GDI and is the current Goaltending Coach of the MBAAA Winnipeg Thrashers.
Brett provides 1v1 instruction at GDI, along with being apart of GDI Regional Development Camps and Clinics throughout the season. He provides a strong technical and psychological perspective on the position, helping each goaltender he instructs reach new heights.
