Ryplanski Grabs First Victory With Bemidji:
The Beavers netminder held the fort down Friday night for her first win as she stopped all 27 shots that came her way in front of a sellout crowd of 2,273 fans in attendance.
The Badgers outshot the Beavers 27-23 on the night. BSU had three penalties in the game, but Wisconsin wasn't able to capitalize on any of the power plays. For more on the game Click Here.
For game two of the series both teams competed just as hard as the first game and stayed locked up at 3-3 for the final score.
Being outshot again, this time around 42 to 18 by Wisconsin, Ryplanski put on one of her best performances as she only allowed 3 to get by her. For more on this game Click Here
All in all we can say Ryplanski had a great weekend between the pipes for Bemidji! Keep it up Ripper!
Pistons Rookie Netminder Off To A Strong Start:
Tuesday night started off with a bang for Steinbach Pistons goaltender Davy Fisher.
In the first period Fisher was peppered with rubber as he faced 19 shots thrown his way from the Winkler Flyers. Both teams got on the board early out of the gate as they took turns with Steinbach potting one in first past goaltender Reed Peters at 1:04 and then the Flyers going to work with their first at 1:49. The game started to turn tides in the second period as the score was locked at 2-2 entering the frame and then Steinbach's Kurt Johnas took off with two goals. Davy Fisher also went to work as he pushed aside all 9 shots he faced.
By the games end Steinbach had ran away with it by a score of 6-2. The Pistons netminder stopped 34 of 36 on the night and closed the door on both powerplay chances that the Flyers had.This was Fisher's third win within his three starts for his first year playing in the MJHL.
Next up on Saturday Fisher helped the Pistons to one point as they brought Swan Valley to a shootout. Fisher, receiving the games 3rd Star, stopped 34 of 36 on the night.
