Never Been Better - The Leafs and Reimer Achieve Playoff Birth:

Reimer had a 49-save performance in a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, allowing the Toronto Maple Leafs to qualify for the NHL playoffs for the first time since 2004. "It's unbelievable," said Reimer with a huge grin. "That's the hockey where you want to play always as a kid growing up. It's playoff hockey. Especially for our city, it's been a little while so I know they're anxious for [the playoffs], they're ready for [the playoffs]. "It's good to finally clinch." Koop, Rakochy, and the Steinbach Pistons Capture MJHL Championship Title - 2013 Western Canada Cup In Their Sights:

Influential in large part to the Steinbach Pistons success throughout the playoffs was Corey Koop. Awarded the MJHL playoffs Top Goaltender and MVP Award was with good reason as in 19 games played he held a .924 Save Percentage with 648 shots being thrown his way. Put to the test in many games, two that stand out to me are Game 4 ad 5 of the Finals against Dauphin and Game 3 against the Blues. With a 1-2 record in these 3 games he was still a difference maker and one of the reasons in large part for how the games were held to being so close - Especially in tough rinks as they were all on the road. Joining the team at the MJHL trade deadline Koop created a tandem with Rakochy that brought a strong sense of maturity to the team in the backend. Now, both goalies look to continue on the path of success and lead the Steinbach Pistons to the 2013 Western Canada Cup and onto the Junior A National Championship - RBC Cup in P.E.I.
