GDI Trained netminder Ryan Kubic went in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft today. Going 39th Overall to the Vancouver Giants in the 2nd Round. Kubic has a prosperous future on the horizon as he most recently helped the WMHA AAA Bantam 1 Winnipeg Hawks to the Western Bantam Championships. Boes Goes To The Hurricanes:

Corbin Boes knew he was going to be traded. The Saskatoon product received a call from Brandon Wheat Kings general manager Kelly McCrimmon the night before and was issued the news. Thursday morning, the veteran goaltender was officially dealt at the WHL bantam draft — along with the 17th overall pick — to the Lethbridge Hurricanes for the sixth selection in what was the day’s most notable transaction. Even with the advanced warning, he still wasn’t entirely sure how to make sense of it though. “It’s a lot different now that it’s official,” said Boes, who turns 20 in July. “I had a great time in Brandon. It was three years I’ll never forget. I can’t thank the organization enough for giving me a chance to enter the league. “But I’m definitely looking forward to a new chapter in my life.” ___________________________________________________________________________
