KNOW YOUR STANDARDS:Many athletes look to others for motivation. At times they look at other to see what they are doing, how they are going about their daily routine. While it is good to learn from some of the best that have gone through some of the same things that you are going through it is important to know your own standards. We must know what we need to do each day to make us the best that we can be. If someone beside you looks to take the day off because they are feeling run down does this give you the right to follow in their same path? This view will be looked at more tomorrow in the Tuesday Mental Training Tip... Remind yourself each day: Know your own standards__________________________________________________________________________Martin Jones has come into the NHL and never looked back. Jones was never drafted out of the WHL, as he was overlooked by many NHL teams. After Calgary he went on to play with the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL to begin the 2010-2011 season. Since then he has served as the Kings third string goaltender in the Stanley Cup playoffs and most recently has been a standout for them since Jonathan Quick has been out with an injury.
