zach rakochy 1The Winnipeg Blues and Steinbach Pistons are going to a Game 5. Longtime GDI Goalie Zach Rakochy helped the Pistons to a 2-1 road victory as he pushed aside 37/38 to help his team get the W. The Blues tied the game up at 1-1 late in the 2nd period on the Powerplay to make Game 4 a nail bitter heading into the third period before the Pistons grabbed the victory. The winner of this series will face the Dauphin Kings who swept the Sher-wood Division. Goaltender Adam Iwan will have had his last year in the MJHL as a 20-year old. This year he appeared in a total of 46 games. ___________________________________________________________________________   Minor Hockey News       Brady Plett - Neepawa Tigers Highschool Hockey Provincial Championship GDI Prairies Neepawa Natives22 The Neepawa Tigers' recent track record has reached history making heights. The team capped off their 2013-2014 season by winning both the Westman High School Hockey League and 'AA' provincial titles for the second time in three years. The Tigers carry two GDI Goalies: Brady Plett and Brett Kozak. Both goalies have helped pave the way for the teams road to success this season. Overall, the Tigers have won three of the past four league titles and a record-setting three consecutive provincial crowns. Neepawa's only blemish on their remarkable run was a semifinal finish in league play in 2012-2013.
