A 3 goal first period was the difference, as the Yorkton Terriers dropped their first game of the 2014 Crescent Point Energy Western Canada Cup, 3-1 to the MJHL Turnbull Cup Champion Winnipeg Blues.
Byron Spriggs continues his very solid postseason play, stopping 25 of the 26 Terriers shots for the 1st Goaltending win of the tournament while Riley Medves who made the start in relief of Kale Thomson stopped 21 shots in a losing cause.
Spriggs was awarded the games Second Star for his strong performance in goal for the Blues.

It’s the first big step towards the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in South Korea.
Brittni Mowat of Glenboro was invited to the National women’s program strength and conditioning camp.
Canada’s Under-18 women’s strength and conditioning camp runs the same time with Brandon’s Kristen Campbell. Both goaltenders have been a staple at GDI for the past three years attending one-on-one personal training sessions and GDI Prospect Clinics.
