It wasn't pretty but the Regina Pats have won 2 games in a row, downing the Seattle Thunderbirds 5-2 Wednesday night at the Bradnt Centre. The score is pretty flattering to the Pats, considering they were out shot 45-22. As is usually the story, goalie Matt Hewitt was the difference, making 43 saves. "One guy has played a full 60 for us, and that's Matt Hewitt," said head coach Pat Conacher. "We can't continue to give up the scoring chances like we did tonight." The Pats would however let Seattle back into the game in the second period, as they would score on back to back power plays . Regina would actually take the first five penalties of the game. "We weren't doing enough to get a penalty called on us," said Conacher. "You could see why we were getting them called on us, cause were slow to the check, checking from behind." Regina would re-gain the two goal lead before the second was out, thanks to goals from Luke Fenske and a power play marker from Lane Scheidl. Morgan Klimchuk would add one more in the third period.
