Entering the 2011-2012 season the Winnipeg Thrashers showed their eagerness to get back into action as they captured a 5-1 convincing victory over the Pembina Valley Hawks. GDI Prairies goaltender Brendan Fiebelkorn held the fort down for the Thrashers in the back end, shutting down the Hawks Powerplay as they went 0 for 8 through 60 minutes, and stopped 18 of 19 shots throughout the game. Displaying an elite technical foundation, Fiebs provided the Thrashers with a confident and calm demeanor in the defensive zone. The Thrashers hit the ice next on Wednesday night against Central Plains. Puck drop is at 7:30 at Gateway Arena. For full results of Friday nights action Click Here.
