Friday night featured a battle between the Brandon Wheat Kings and the Moose Jaw Warriors. A fast start and the ability to capitalize on some costly Brandon miscues late in the second period proved to be the differnce as the Warriors trampled over the Wheat Kings for a 6-4 victory. 17-year old rookie netminder Spencer Tremblay turned aside 35 Brandon shots to earn the win. Tremblay has been with GDI Prairies for the past several years, training diligently for his Junior career. Playing with the Winnipeg Wild this past year, where he was awarded the leagues Top Goaltender Award.
