Winnipeg Saints netminder Teagan Sacher came into the net knowing he would have to stand on his head as several of the Saints key players were out with injuries. After a first period that was locked at 1-1, the Winnipeg goal was peppered with a mass flurry of shots as 18 were fired Sacher's way. In total for the game Portage went on the attack and threw 54 shots on net. By shutting down 52 of them, including all 4 power play chances, the Saints were able to come away with a victory at home against the Manitoba Junior top dog in points. This was the rookie netminders 5th win in a row as he has helped accumulate several points for his team since the end of January. The Saints now sit two points back of the Selkirk Steelers in the Addison Division standings and hope to get past them tomorrow with another win over the Winkler Flyers.
